Yonsei GSIS- University of St. Gallen: Dual Degree Program |

Starting in the fall semester of 2009, a Dual Degree Program with the University of St. Gallen will allow Yonsei GSIS students to obtain two degrees: a Master of International Studies from Yonsei GSIS and a Master of Arts in International Affairs and Governance (MIA) from the University of St. Gallen, in only two years of academic study.
Located in Switzerland and in the heart of Europe, the University of St. Gallen is part of APSIA and offers an integrated approach to the study of international affairs and governance. The MIA Program focuses on the central economic and socio-political problems of today’s constantly changing world, often found at the crossroads of politics, the economy, and law.

Application to the Dual Degree program is open to any Yonsei GSIS student who has already completed one semester of study at the GSIS. Yonsei will select preferred candidates in March based on their academic record and these candidates will then be recommended to the MIA Program which starts in every September.
TOEFL score is required for non-native English speakers.

| GSIS students will study at the Yonsei GSIS for at least one year where they must obtain at least 24 credits. They must also study at the University of St. Gallen for a year where they must complete an equivalent of 12 credits and a mandatory thesis. |

Starting in the fall semester of 2008, a Dual Degree Program with the University of Chicago will allow Yonsei GSIS students to obtain two master’s degrees; a Master of International Studies from the Yonsei GSIS and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the Harris School, in only two years of academic study.
The Harris School of Public Policy Studies is one of six professional schools at the University of Chicago. It was established in 1988 and follows the University of Chicago's tradition of scholarship intended to addressing real world problems. The University of Chicago has for more than a century been recognized as a place where great minds gather and put knowledge to work for the common good.

| Tuition |
|
In their first year of study at the Yonsei GSIS, students will pay only Yonsei GSIS tuition fees. However, for the second year of study at the University of Chicago, students will be required to pay tuition at both the Harris School and Yonsei GSIS. The Yonsei GSIS fees will be only one-third of regular fees while the Harris School tuition fees for one year are USD 32,445.

Yonsei GSIS offers a Dual Degree Program with the International Organizations MBA (IOMBA), the University of Geneva. The Dual Degree Program provides an opportunity for students to thrive in a truly multi-disciplinary and multicultural atmosphere. Students will acquire the necessary experience and skills to truly adapt to the ever-changing needs of the international and global environment. The Dual Degree Program will require the student to take courses for one year at the GSIS and another year at the University of Geneva and earn master’s degree from Yonsei and MBA from University of Geneva.
Launched in 2003, the International Organizations MBA (IOMBA), the University of Geneva, has been training professionals to pursue careers in the increasingly interconnected fields of international governmental and nongovernmental organizations and companies that work with these institutions. The Geneva IOMBA works intensively with internationally renowned scholars, top officials from international and nongovernmental organizations, business executives, and aspiring MBA students to design a rich, multidisciplinary curriculum that explores the core issues facing practitioners in these various communities.
Taught fully in English by University of Geneva professors, international officials, and an international faculty from leading universities around the world, the IOMBA exposes students to the latest theoretical and applied knowledge about international politics, economics, sociology, and law. |

GSIS students should submit their resume and application essay during application period in March. GSIS faculty will screen the resumes and then select a candidate who will be recommended to the University of Geneva.

| Tuition & Scholarship |
As of 2008, tuition at the IOMBA is EURO 23,000.
A scholarship of EURO 5,000 will be awarded to all the selected dual degree students.
Students are also required to pay one-third of the standard tuition for GSIS while attending two semesters at IOMBA. |
Yonsei GSIS - Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University: Dual Degree Program |

Starting with the 2007 academic year, a Dual Degree program with Keio University was launched. Through this program, students are able to obtain a Master's Degree from the GSIS and a Master of Media and Governance from the Graduate School of Media and Governance at Keio University.
The Graduate School of Media and Governance at Keio University, Shonan Fujisawa Campus, established in 1994, offers specialized training that enables students to learn theoretical knowledge along with practical problem-identification and problem-solving abilities to respond to a variety of perceived needs in society.
The curriculum of this program focuses on active participation in real-life projects. |

| GSIS students should submit their resume and application essay during application period. Yonsei will select preferred candidates based on their academic record, Japanese and English proficiency, research skills and aptitude for the Program. The selected candidates will then be recommended to Keio University. |
| Curriculum |

Students are, in principle, required to spend one semester at the Keio university during the Program. They may be allowed to stay up to two semesters, depending on the students’ study plan and the area of specialization, with the consent of Yonsei and Keio.
While Keio offers some courses in English, the vast majority are taught in Japanese. Selected students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits from Keio University. Up to 10 credits may be transferred from Yonsei GSIS. Also, while staying in Yonsei, students can take courses from Keio through an e-learning system.

| Tuition & Scholarship |
Students will pay tuition and other academic fees only to Yonsei GSIS for the first 4 semesters. However, if students decide to remain at Keio University after four semesters, they will be obligated to pay tuition and fees to Keio University directly.
Keio will provide the students JPY 100,000 for a one-time arrival allowance and JPY 100,000 per month for living expenses during the first six months from arrival. |
