- Paper from Prof. Hong-Goo Kang’s team has been accepted to ‘EMNLP 2025’
- Prof. Kang’s research team has proposed a novel pipeline that merges linguistic and fundamental speech processing theory to generate natural and human-level code-switching speech dataset. The work was led by Sangmin Lee under the supervision of Prof. Hong-Goo Kang, with collaboration of Woojin Chung and Dr. Seyun Um. The resulting paper, “UniCoM: A Universal Code-Switching Speech Generator” has been accepted to Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP 2025).

- Prof. Kim’s research team has published the paper titled “Swing-Tunable Oxide Thin-Film Transistors via Electrohydrodynamic Jet-Printed Parasitic Conduction Path” in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (IF: 8.2, JCR Top 17.9%). - Prof. Hyun S. Kum’s team’s paper has been published in Science Advances
- Prof. Kum’s research team has published the paper “A universal 2D-on-SiC platform for heterogeneous integration of epitaxial III-N membranes” in Science Advances (Impact factor 12.5) in its online edition on November 21. The study successfully synthesized graphene on SiC at temperatures ~ 70% lower than conventional methods, and demonstrated the growth and exfoliation of single-crystalline GaN and AlN membranes. This research was led by Sehoon Kim (Integrated M.S.–Ph.D. Program) and Prof. Hyun S. Kum (corresponding author) from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yonsei University.

It contributed to the development of stretchable display driving technology.

- Shilin Lu wins Gold Prize at the Samsung Display Industry–Academia Collaboration Paper Competition
- Researcher Shilin Lu from Professor Hyun Jae Kim’s research group received the Gold Prize at the Samsung Display Industry–Academia Collaboration Paper Competition. This work, led by first author Shilin Lu under the guidance of Prof. Hyun Jae Kim, introduces a flexible multimodal sensing transistor using an IGZO platform combined with a nanostructured layer. The device shows distinct optical and thermal responses and maintains stable performance under bending for wearable applications.

- Prof. Jung's paper, “DPe-CIM: A 4T1C Dual-Port eDRAM based Compute-in-Memory for Simultaneous Computing and Refresh with Adaptive Refresh and Data Conversion Reduction Scheme”, has been published in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), one of the most highly-ranked journals in circuit design field (Impact Factor 5.6). The proposed DRAM-PIM macro effectively mitigates the computation throughput degradation and power consumption issues caused by DRAM refresh operations by employing a dual-port DRAM cell and adaptive refresh scheme. This work was led by Do Han Kim (Ph.D. Candidate) and Prof. Seong-Ook Jung of the VLSI system laboratory.
