Yonsei GSIS collaborates with top universities worldwide to offer prestigious dual degree programs. On December 4, 2025, Ms. Shilin Liu, Associate Dean of the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, visited Yonsei to host an information session on the dual degree partnership between our two institutions.
The Harris School is known for its data-driven approach, believing there is a "science" to effective public policy. Through this partnership, students can pursue an MA in Public Policy or an MA in Public Policy with a Certificate in Research Methods. It is an excellent opportunity for students seeking interdisciplinary exposure, as the program facilitates interaction with UChicago's other renowned faculties, including the Booth School of Business and the Law School.
Consistently ranked among the top five policy analysis schools in the U.S., the Harris School is definitely worth considering! Applications open every February via the Yonsei GSIS website and are available to students in their second semester. As the program lasts one year and requires specific documentation, we recommend reviewing the criteria early so you are prepared when applications open.

It was an honor to have Ms. Shilin Liu visiting Yonsei GSIS and making time to explain the program to curious students, answer questions, and provide insight into the University of Chicago and studying abroad.
