2025 APSA Annual Meeting – Graduate Student Travel Grant Application

The Association for Korean Political Studies (AKPS) invites applications from graduate students for a travel grant to support participation in the 2025 American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting, to be held in Vancouver, Canada, from September 11 to 14, 2025.

1. Grant Overview

• Event: APSA Annual Meeting 2025
• Dates: September 11 – 14, 2025
• Location: Vancouver, Canada
• Grant Amount: $500 (partial reimbursement)

2. Eligibility

• Must be a graduate student presenting a Korea-related paper at the 2025 APSA Annual Meeting
• AKPS membership is not required to apply
  • However, awardees must become active, dues-paying members upon selection
  • Membership fee for graduate students: $20
  • 
    

3. Required Application Materials

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Title and abstract of the paper accepted by the APSA Annual Meeting
3. Rough travel budget
4. Statement of other sources of funding (secured or applied for)
5. Completed application form (attached to the original announcement/email)

4. Application Deadline

• Deadline: August 31, 2025, at 17:00 EST

5. Evaluation Criteria

• Demonstrated financial need, as detailed in the application
• Scholarly merit of the submitted paper abstract
