Yonsei University Institute for North Korean Studies invites applications for the “2026 Global Korean Peninsula Unification Youth Leaders Program.” (Hosted by the Ministry of Unification)

1. Program Objective:

To foster global youth leaders and build international consensus on peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

2. Program Overview:

Theme: Understanding, Empathy, and Experience of Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

Session 1 (May 8, Fri.): Participant Orientation

-  Program and Staff Introduction & Group Project Overview

Session 2 (May 15, Fri.): Empathy for Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

- Documentary Film Talk Concert & Future Unified Korean Peninsula Experience

Session 3 (May 22, Fri.): Understanding Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

- Lecture on Korean Peninsula Issues, the International Community, and Peace & Korean Peninsula Music Concert

Session 4 (May 29, Fri.): Experiencing Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula (1)

- Visit to the National Korean War Abductees Memorial Hall & Camp Greaves Experience

Session 5 (June 5, Fri.): Experiencing Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula (2)

- Lecture on Peaceful Coexistence and Environmental Cooperation & Lecture on the Korean Unification Dictionary Project

Session 6 (June 24, Wed.): Engaging in Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

- Group Project Presentations & Closing Ceremony

※ All sessions will be conducted in Korean.

※ Full participation in all sessions is required.

3. Eligibility:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria

(1) Foreign residents in Korea aged 19–34

(2) Able to participate in all program sessions

(3) Proficient in Korean at a level sufficient to attend university-level lectures
