📢 Yonsei International Summer School Internship (YISSI)
We are pleased to share details about the Yonsei International Summer School Internship (YISSI), an internship opportunity offered as part of the Yonsei International Summer School (YISS). Please read the information below carefully before applying.
📅 Program Period: June 15, 2026 – August 4, 2026 (7.5 weeks)
- - The internship is a course within YISS, included in the YISS tuition fee.
- - As an academic course, the internship is unpaid.
- - The internship schedule differs from the general academic period. Students must arrange their own housing for the additional weeks beyond the dormitory stay.
1. Eligibility
Applicants must:
- - Be YISS participants enrolled in an accredited foreign university
- - Be taking either the 4-week or 6-week YISS program

- Enroll in at least 2 courses for a minimum of 5 credits
Ex) 2 courses (5 credits) = 1 academic course(3 credits) + internship course(2 credits) -
- Complete full tuition payment by the early-bird deadline
ℹ️ UCEAP students must take a total of 3 courses (2 academic courses + internship course). -
⚠ Applicants with outstanding tuition balances will not be considered.
⚠ High school seniors / Yonsei University students / CIEE students are not eligible for YISSI.
⚠️ Please Read Carefully Before You Apply
First, please check whether you have applied to and been admitted to the Yonsei International Summer School (YISS). Regardless of whether you take 4 week or 6 week session, you should be enrolled in at least two courses (1 academic course + 1 internship course).
Second, confirm whether your home institution allows participation in internship programs.
* Please note that eligibility decisions are solely based on the policies and decisions of your home institution. If you have any inquiries regarding eligibility, please contact your home institution directly.
* Universities and institutions not included on this list does not guarantee eligibility for applying or credit transfer from the internship program. Please check with your home university regarding credit transfer and eligibility prior to applying.
2. Course Expectations
- - Total of 105 working hours required
- - Internship is graded on a Pass / Non-Pass basis
- - Students are responsible for confirming credit transfer eligibility with their home institution academic advisor
⚠ Please note that NO REFUNDS will be issued once students begin working at their assigned organization or lab, in accordance with our refund policy.
3. Benefits
- - 2 academic credits (Pass / Non-Pass)
- - Certificate of Completion (Signed by the Vice President, Office of International Affairs, Yonsei University)
