Healthcare Services

Health Insurance

  • All WAY participants will be automatically enrolled in the insurance plan as part of the program.
  • The insurance fee will be fully covered by the WAY Office, so students do not need to make any additional payments.
  • Students are not required to submit the proof of insurance.
  • Specific information about the insurance will be provided in the Student Handbook and through additional notices.

  • ※Please note that this benefit is provided only to enrolled participants, and will not apply to students who withdraw from the program. Coverage is limited to the program period and incidents occurring in Korea.


  • On-Campus Medical Services

    1. Yonsei Health Service Center

    • - Hours: Mon–Thu 09:00–17:00 (lunch: 12:00–13:00), Fri 09:00–16:00 (No doctor in afternoon)

    *100% of expenses must be paid by the patient (not covered by insurance).
    *Not covered by National Health Insurance, and external prescriptions cannot be issued.

    2. Severance Hospital International Health Care Center

    *Insurance coverage is available.
    *International students may visit for non-emergency cases, but treatment may not be available if a suitable doctor is not on duty.

    5. Medical Direct Seoul – Urgent Call 119

    Seoul City provides a 24-hour medical service free of charge in English and Chinese (via Korea Tourism Organization).
    Services include: medical translation, clinic & hospital information, first-aid instruction (ambulance dispatch), and counseling with health care professionals.
