- [2026 YISS] How to Get Your Official Transcript
- 2026 YISS · NOTICE How to Get Your Official Transcript This notice explains how to obtain your official transcript. It applies to all 2026 YISS students — both 4-week and 6-week courses. There are three ways to get your transcript. Before you choose, ask your home institution what they accept — that decides which option you need. Option What You Get Fee 1. Self-Download You download and print it yourself Free 2. Electronic Official PDF emailed to your institution KRW 3,000 3. Hard Copy Printed transcript shipped via DHL KRW 60,000 per destination I. When Your Transcript Becomes Available Whichever option you choose, your transcript can only be issued after your final grades are confirmed. Courses You Took Transcript Available From 4-week courses only Grades confirmed July 30 (Thu) July 31 (Fri), 2026 Already available now One or more 6-week courses Grades confirmed August 13 (Thu) August 14 (Fri), 2026 Not yet available Took both 4-week and 6-week courses? The August 14 (Fri), 2026 date applies to you — not July 31. Your 6-week grades must be confirmed first. II. Option 1 — Self-Download (Free) You can download your official transcript directly from the Yonsei Portal at any time — no request or fee required. Check before you use this option. Some institutions do not accept self-downloaded transcripts. Please check with your home institution whether they require a transcript sent directly through an official system. If they do, use Option 2 or Option 3 below. How to download Step 1. Log in to the Yonsei Portal — portal.yonsei.ac.kr Step 2. Change the language to ENG (top right corner) Step 3. Go to 'Academic Information System' > 'Grades' > 'Exchange Student Grades' Step 4. Your transcript is displayed — save it as a PDF or print it out Cannot log in? Reset your password using the [RESET PW for SAY/YISS/WAY] button on the log-in page of the Yonsei Portal. III. Option 2 — Electronic Transcript Sent to Your Institution (KRW 3,000) If your home institution requires a verified transcript sent through an official channel, you can send it directly via the Yonsei Portal's certificate issuance system. This service is available for all SAY, YISS, and WAY students. The portal screens involve several extra steps. Follow the full guide with screenshots before you start: View the full Digital Copy Guide Type Delivery Method Fee Electronic Official PDF sent via email through the Yonsei Portal system KRW 3,000 How to send Step 1. Log in to the Yonsei Portal — portal.yonsei.ac.kr Step 2. Go to 'IT SERVICE' > 'Online Transcripts & Certificates' Step 3. Select 'ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATE (PDF File)' and issue the certificate Step 4. Complete payment (KRW 3,000) Step 5. Go to 'Unissued' > 'Email Transmission' and send it to your institution IV. Option 3 — Printed Hard Copy Shipped by DHL (KRW 60,000) If you need a printed transcript mailed to an address, use the request form. Choose this option only if your home institution requires a physical document — if an electronic copy is accepted, Option 2 costs far less and involves no shipping. Type Delivery Method Fee (per destination) Hard Copy Printed transcript shipped via DHL KRW 60,000 Additional copies to the same address: +KRW 1,000 per copy. Example: 3 copies to one address = KRW 60,000 + KRW 2,000 = KRW 62,000. How to submit a request Step 1. Click the 'Request Form' tab and log in with your Yonsei Portal credentials (https://oia.yonsei.ac.kr/inbound.php?mid=m03_10) Step 2. Select 'Hard Copy' and enter the recipient information Step 3. Click 'Submit' Step 4. Complete payment via Flywire — the payment button appears on the Request Status page Recipient information you will need • Recipient name • Mailing address (street, city, state or province, and postal or ZIP code) • Country • Phone number (include the country code for international numbers) Sending to more than one institution? Submit a separate request for each recipient. The reduced fee for additional copies applies only when the copies go to the same address. Not sure which option to choose? Ask your home institution one question: do you accept a transcript I download myself, or does it have to come directly from Yonsei? • Accepts a self-downloaded copy → Option 1 (free, immediate) • Must come from Yonsei, electronic is fine → Option 2 (KRW 3,000, link sent via email) • Must be a physical printed document → Option 3 (KRW 60,000, DHL) Questions? Email: summer@yonsei.ac.kr Phone: +82-2-2123-3535 If you do not remember your Student ID, email us with your full name, program name and year, date of birth, and home institution.

- [2026 YISS] Course Withdrawal Period & How-To
- For All YISS Students · 4-Week & 6-Week Course Withdrawal Guide Go by course length, not program length Each course follows the withdrawal period for its own length. If you are a 6-Week student taking a 4-Week course, you must withdraw that 4-Week course during the 4-Week period (Jul 8 ~ 9) — not the 6-Week period. Withdrawal Period Find your course length below and use the matching dates. The course period differs for 4-Week and 6-Week courses. 4-WEEK COURSES Jul 8 (Wed) 10:00 AM ~ Jul 9 (Thu) 17:00 PM 2026 · KST 6-WEEK COURSES Jul 15 (Wed) 10:00 AM ~ Jul 16 (Thu) 17:00 PM 2026 · KST Heads up: The system opens at 10:00 AM on the first day and closes on the second. Once your period ends, no late requests can be accepted. Read this before you withdraw 1. Cancel only — no swapping. Withdrawal only removes a course from your schedule. It cannot be used to add a new course or switch to a different one — changing courses was only possible during Add & Drop. (No “W” or other mark is left on your transcript.) 2. No refund at all. Unlike Add & Drop (80% refund on the first day), a withdrawal has no refund — 0%. The refund period has already ended. 3. Cannot be undone. Once submitted, a withdrawal cannot be reversed and the course cannot be re-added. 4. Keep attending until it’s confirmed. Keep going to class until the course actually appears in your Withdrawal List. If the withdrawal does not go through and you have already stopped attending, you risk a failing grade. 5. Keep at least 1 course. You must remain enrolled in at least one course. To withdraw from all of your courses, contact the office first. 6. Internship (YISSI) participants. The internship itself cannot be withdrawn. You must also stay enrolled in at least two courses (6 credits) — dropping to one course voids your internship eligibility. 7. Partner students, check first. If you were nominated by a partner institution, confirm any minimum course / credit requirement with your home institution before withdrawing. How to withdraw — step by step Yonsei Portal → Academic Information System → Application for Withdrawal of Courses 1 Open the withdrawal menu Log in to the Yonsei Portal, go to Academic Information System, open the Courses tab, and click “Application for withdrawal of courses.” 2 Withdraw & select a reason Find the course in your registration list, choose a reason from the drop-down menu, and click the “Withdraw” button. 3 Confirm the pop-ups After you click Withdraw, two pop-ups appear in order. Click 확인 (Confirm) on each. “수강철회를 진행 하시겠습니까?” (Proceed with the withdrawal?) — click the left button, 확인 (Confirm), to go ahead. 취소 (Cancel) stops the process. “[Course Withdrawal] Your submission has been processed.” — click 확인 (Confirm). Your withdrawal is now complete. Seeing this error? The period doesn’t match. “You cannot cancel the course. Please check and proceed.” means this course’s withdrawal period does not match. A 4-Week course must be withdrawn during the 4-Week period (Jul 8 ~ 9), and a 6-Week course during the 6-Week period (Jul 15 ~ 16). Re-check the course length and the matching dates above, then withdraw during the correct period. 4 Check your Withdrawal List Finally, confirm the course now appears in your Withdrawal List. If it is not listed, the withdrawal did not go through — repeat the steps. The withdrawn course now appears under Withdrawal List. Schedule at a glance 4-Week Course Add & Drop Jun 29–30 · Done Withdrawal Jul 8–9 Classes End Jul 22 (Wed) 6-Week Course Add & Drop Jun 29–30 · Done Withdrawal Jul 15–16 Classes End Aug 5 (Wed) Questions? Contact the YISS Office — summer@yonsei.ac.kr | +82-2-2123-3535 Office hours: Mon–Fri 09:00–12:00 & 13:00–17:00 (KST)
