The Easy Life in Kamusari - Shion Miura

“When real life became too chaotic, I loved reading this series. It is a very peaceful and charming read where the main character is doing his best in his new daily life.”

llegally Yours - Rafael Agustin

“This was a very heartwarming and humorous read about the author’s experience of growing up undocumented in the United States. Although the subject matter can get a bit heavy, the author's use of humor makes the medicine go down a bit more easier”.

I Will Live -  by Lale Gül

“This book is about a young woman, Büsra, who grows up in a strict Islamic family in Amsterdam. As she grapples with the rigid religious rules and expectations of her family, she discovers her own identity and desires. This leads to a difficult but liberating quest for personal freedom and self-acceptance in a society often at odds with her upbringing. To follow Büsra in her journey was not only interesting but heartwarming.”

Yellowface - R.F. Kuang

“This fictional memoir does not let you go until you finish the book. The story is heavily influenced by pop cultural references, especially social media. This really illustrates how Instagram, Twitter, and other social media can blow a story out of proportion. As a reader, you don't feel sorry for the main character, but that makes the story even more exciting!”
