The GSIS Office, including the Dean, faculty, and staff, is actively working to promote various majors and attract new students globally. As part of this initiative, the GSIS Office recently conducted three trips to Japan and China to showcase newly established majors, GCSD and GCC, to prospective students in these neighboring countries.

In April, GSIS staff visited Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, where they held several meetings with local staff and faculty. The highlight of this trip was one-on-one admission counseling sessions held for local students.

In May, the Dean and Pseveral faculty members returned to Japan, extending their outreach to three universities: Hitotsubashi University, Aoyama Gakuin University, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. At Aoyama Gakuin University, discussions were held regarding a possible Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the institutions, as well as other cooperative opportunities. Additionally, the GSIS faculty had lunch with the Tokyo GSIS Alumni Chapter on May 11th.

Earlier in June, Professor Dong Chan Kim, Chair of the GCC program, visited Fudan University in Shanghai to discuss establishing a potential MOU and initiating a student exchange program.
